Novel Enzymes 2025

March 25–28 – Budapest, Hungary

Welcome

The discovery and development of novel enzymes is a major driver of the continuous development of biocatalysis, which has brought significant new results in areas such as the discovery of new enzymes, the development and application of efficient new enzyme engineering methods—including advanced computational tools for enzyme development or even de novo enzyme design—and the use of new biocatalyzed processes and enzymes in processes combined with metal, organo-, photo- and electrochemical catalysis or even in multi-stage cascade processes.

These new developments are significant milestones on the way to the realization of an environmentally friendly, sustainable and energy-efficient bioeconomy and thus are an important part of managing many challenges arising in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and other fields of application.

The 8th international conference on Novel Enzymes provides an overview on the latest results and research directions related to new enzymes, the latest developments and the future trends of the field. The Budapest event of the Novel Enzymes conference series is a continuation of the previous meetings of the series (in Ghent 2014, in Groningen 2016, in Darmstadt 2018, and in Greifswald 2023).

We look forward to meeting you in Budapest in March 2025 and enjoying together the oral and poster presentations on the cutting-edge results of the field! According to our current schedule, the conference will be held between March 25-28, 2025 (starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and ending at noon on Friday).
